Course Objectives

APU MISSION STATEMENT
Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian community of disciples and scholars who seek to advance the work of God in the world through academic excellence in liberal arts and professional programs of higher education that encourage students to develop a Christian perspective of truth and life.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This workshop allows students with earned credit in newspaper courses to develop skills and contribute to the production of the student newspaper. This course may be repeated three times for credit toward the journalism major and up to six times total.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
• To report, write and edit basic news stories with accuracy and correct journalistic style
• To expand skills in areas such as visual communication, advertising or publication finance
• To work with others to complete group projects and communicate group goals
